Activities, Programs and Outreach
With the support of the Community and the Denver Foundation’s Strengthening Neighborhoods grants this past year we were able to:
- Host a Community-wide Alley Cleanup Event and Accompanying Activities
- Host a Casino Trip Fundraiser
- Host a Game Night
- Host a Neighborhood Festival Host a Series of Speakers
- Host a Membership Drive
- Host a Community Dinner
- Host our annual Board Election
- Promote a Progressive Dinner
- Promote and Actively Support Local Food Drives
- Promote and Actively Support the Coats 4 Columbine Program
- Promote and Actively Support our Gardening Club
- Promote and Actively Support the Welcome New Neighborhood Cocktail Hour
- Publish Ten (10) Newsletters
- Distribute fifteen hundred (1500) printed newsletters throughout the Community
- Maintain a site with over two hundred (356) articles
- Send regular email notices to over one hundred seventy-five (175) residents
- Host Ten (10) Community Meetings Host Ten (10) Board Meetings
- Regularly evaluate Community Zoning Issues
- Connect and Notify Neighbors through our Buddy System & Telephone Tree
- Welcome New Neighbors with Gift Baskets
- Present Community Needs to Civic Leaders
- Serve as Liaison Regarding Land Use
And Generally Promote Resident Accomplishments, Local Businesses, Political Activism & Debate, Safety, Volunteering Opportunities, Local School Programs, Healthy Living, Environmental Prudence, Local Events, Local Home Sales, Continued Education, Traffic Issues, Community Organizations, Local Events, Resident Activities, Graffiti Prevention, Energy Efficiency Programs, Various other Programs and Non-profits.
