I wanted to let you know that the Green Festival, the LARGEST sustainability event in the nation, is coming to Denver May 2-3, 2009. The Green Festival is a two day event which celebrates what is working in Denver’s community –for people, businesses, and the environment.
Over the course of the next three months we will be recruiting over 1,000 volunteers for the Denver Green Festival! We will be looking groups of volunteers and individual volunteers to help ensure the success of the Green Festival. Green Festival volunteers are asked to volunteer for at least one 4.5-5 hour shift, and in exchange receive free admission to the festival all weekend, an organic cotton staff t-shirt, free memberships to Global Exchange and Green America, and discounts at the festival.
I was hoping you could help spread information about the festival and volunteering to the members of the North City Park Civic Association. I have included additional information about volunteering (below) and an electronic copy of our volunteer flier (attached). If you have a neighborhood newspaper or newsletter we would be very appreciative if you could feature volunteering for the Denver Green Festival in an upcoming issue. Additionally, I would be happy to come speak with any groups who may be interested in learning more about the festival. Thank you in advance for your help!
Volunteers can register easily on our Denver Green Festival volunteer registration page: http://www.greenfestivalvolunteers.org/denver.
