Anyone interested in the new zoning code, the draft will be out soon, and the INC Zoning and Planning Committee gets to give early feedback on the language.  As you know, the map is due later in the year.

“Participate in ZAP

All members of Inter-Neighborhood Cooperation are encouraged  to participate in the monthly meetings of the Zoning  and Planning (ZAP) Committee. The Committee generally   meets on the fourth Saturday of each month from  9:30 a.m. to noon at 1201 Williams Street in the 19th-floor  party room. Thirty or more zoning experts from many  RNOs attend each month to share information and ideas.

The committee usually has  several discussions each month with City administrators or  policy-makers regarding zoning or planning issues and often  proposes motions to the INC delegation. Contact the  chair of the committee, Michael Henry, at 303-377-6609 if  you have any questions or issues.

One of the major issues for the ZAP committee, for  INC, and for all RNOs during 2009 will be the update of  the Denver Zoning Code of 1956 vintage. Michael Henry  serves as the INC representative on the Zoning Code Task  Force. The Task Force, which has been working for almost  four years, hopes to have several public meetings in the  spring and to have a new zoning code and a new zoning  map ready for City Council consideration in late 2009.
