The Denver Office of Cultural Affairs invites residents and arts organizations to contribute their ideas and perspectives at a Cultural Visioning 2028 Town Hall Meeting on January 29, 2008, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Denver Art Museum’s Frederic C. Hamilton Building in the Lewis I. Sharp Auditorium on the lower level.

What will Denver’s cultural environment look like in 20 years? Denver is being described as a city in the midst of a cultural renaissance. In order to develop and sustain a vibrant arts community over time, DOCA is considering how the future will unfold and how the arts will navigate its predicable and unpredictable waters. To do this, DOCA has developed a presentation describing an array of scenarios for the future, including changes in demographics, transportation and mobility, workforce and economic trends, media and technology and civic participation.
